Youth Director - Garrett Bagwell
Garrett was born in Kentucky and raised in a small town outside of Indianapolis, Indiana. He loves to talk about all things coffee and Jesus, so if you have a few extra hours and want to get to know him, ask him to go to one of his favorite local coffee shops (seriously, plan to have a few spare hours…). He was raised by two godly parents who love the Lord and taught him what it means to follow Christ.
When Garrett was a junior in high school, he knew the Lord was calling him to vocational ministry, but decided to keep this a secret as it actually sounded like a terrible idea. The Holy Spirit had other plans. During the following Sunday, as he was speaking for his church’s youth Sunday service, he announced to the entire church body how God was moving in his life in this way. Completely unsure of what he was doing and of this calling itself, Garrett went on to pursue a degree in Youth Ministry and Biblical Studies at Liberty University. He graduated in May 2018 and came to Cross Creek for a summer internship. God then graciously opened the door for Garrett to join the staff squad in January, 2019. He is now stoked to be serving at Cross Creek working primarily with the student ministries as well as the first time guest team.
